Onosatoseki is wearing a decorative mawashi decorated with a "gorilla," the symbol of Go! Go! Curry. The design expresses the hope that Onosatoseki will combine strength and kindness like a gorilla, and continue to bring energy and courage to the Noto Peninsula.
We're all rooting for Ozeki Oonosato, who is from Tsubata Town, Kahoku District, Ishikawa Prefecture!
GoGo Curry Group Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture; CEO and President: Nishihata Makoto; hereinafter referred to as "GoGo Curry") presented a kesho-mawashi (short skirt) to the Ishikawa-born ozeki, Onosato, as part of the "Reconstruction GoGo Project."
Oonosato Seki, who is from Tsubata Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, has encouraged many people by continuing to bring courage to areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and heavy rains. GoGo Curry deeply sympathizes with this attitude and will join forces to support the recovery of the Noto Peninsula.
The presented mawashi features a strong design with the "gorilla" symbol of Go!Go! Curry in the center and the brand's bright yellow color as the base color. This design represents the hope that Oonosato will combine strength and kindness like a "gorilla" to achieve further success in the world of sumo and continue to bring energy and courage to the Noto Peninsula.
GoGo Curry will continue to work to bring energy to the local community through the "Reconstruction GoGo Project."

[GoGoCurry Group Co., Ltd.]
Founded in 2003, the first store opened in Shinjuku, Tokyo in 2004, sparking the "Kanazawa curry boom." The Kanazawa flagship store opened in 2005, and in 2007, the first store overseas opened in Times Square, New York. Since 2017, the company has focused on business succession-type M&A, taking over the operations of Kanazawa's long-established Indian curry restaurant "Hot House" and in 2019, the original Kanazawa curry restaurant "Turban Curry." In January 2023, the company moved its headquarters from Tokyo to Kanazawa, and in March, Nishihata Makoto, a former employee of a major IT company, was appointed CEO and President and Representative Director. The GoGo Curry Group aims to be the "world's number one curry specialty trading company," and has expanded to approximately 100 stores both domestically and overseas.
